From yesterday's Boston Globe: "The Patrick administration has asked the commission that oversees public employee retirementbenefitsto look at possible abuse of the pension system by longtime Boston firefighters who tried to calculate all their years on the force into their pensions, including times when they were not working." First it was the fake disability claims (remember Albert Arroyo?). Then it was refusing to be drug-tested unless they were paid millions of dollars more in pay. And now this.

I feel bad for honorable firefighters, because these shenanigans cast a bad light on the whole lot.
